London's Tower Bridge will undergo the first restoration in its history, hopefully in time for the 2012 Olympics, thanks to a City trust that has its origins in a group of medieval monks. The brothers collected a toll from every Londoner who wanted to cross the original London Bridge; the funds were placed in a trust that had as its primary purpose the maintenance of city bridges. Today the trust is worth 700 million. Find out more about the restoration in the
article by Aislinn Simpson at the Telegraph.
