Unlocked Wordhoard

Friday February 23, 2007
Today I'd like to draw your attention to Dr. Richard Nokes' terrific blog, Unlocked Wordhoard. A professor of medieval literature at Troy University, Dr. Nokes provides an accessible, thought-provoking blog that never fails to enlighten. This week he's reviewed Benjamin Bagby's Beowulf -- a DVD that shows Bagby performing the Old English epic, in Old English, with nothing more than a Saxon-style harp for accompaniment. After reading Dr. Nokes' review, I've popped Bagby's Beowulf to the top of my Netflix queue, too.
