Medieval Wall Paintings Uncovered

The delightful discovery of medieval wall paintings, hidden for centuries under whitewash, has been made in a church in in Vif, France. Believed to have been painted in the late 14th century, the paintings appear to be a continuous work covering two walls. They have been hidden by a gray lime wash since the wars of religion of the 17th century and are remarkably well preserved.
