Towton Battlefield

The locations of significant battles are often preserved for modern folk to visit and study. The fields where horrific deeds were carried out by men against men, where vast amounts of blood were spilled, and where the course of history was determined by the victors now lie quiet and peaceful. One such field is the site of the bloodiest battle ever fought in England, the Battle of Towton.
