While the walls of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Hook, Hampshire, were getting prepared for repainting, some artwork was discovered under an older layer of paint. The artwork includes an image of a "Pelican in her Piety," an old symbol for the crucifixion. The art may have originated as far back as the 14th century, although some believe it was created as recently as the Victorian era. Find out more in this very nice video at BBC News.
