Bishop's palace discovered
Thursday December 4, 2008
The remains of a bishop's palace, which scholars have been seeking for three centuries, have been found at last in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire. During its heyday, the palace would have housed about 100 people while the bishop was in residence. It likely began to deteriorate long before John Kyrle made the place a public park in the late 1690s. Find out more about the palace and the discovery in the article
at the Hereford Times.
