A team of archaeologists from the University of Veliko Tarnovo has uncovered a unique Byzantine seal at the site of a monastery near the city of Varna. The seal is believed to date to the 10th century and to have belonged to a Byzantine dignitary by the name of Antonius. The team also discovered fragments of Byzantine ceramics and a book lock.
