Bookmarking inside Frames

Did you know that it's possible to bookmark a page inside a frame? Here's how:

For Windows:

  • Place cursor inside the frame you want to bookmark.
  • Right-click the mouse; a pop-up menu will appear.
  • If you use Netscape, choose "Add Bookmark."
  • If you use Internet Explorer, choose "Add to Favorites."
  • Check the URL of your bookmark -- You now have the URL of the site within a frame.

  • For Macs:

  • Place the mouse in a clear spot inside the frame you wish to bookmark.
  • Click and hold until the pop-up menu appears.
  • Select 'new window with this frame' -- a new window will open up containing only the contents of that inner frame.
  • Add a bookmark or favorite for this new window.
