Louis repudiates Eleanor

Eleanor was always a little too strong-willed for the gentle King Louis of France, and since she had only given him daughters, Louis agreed to seek an annulment on the grounds of consanguinity. Eleanor retained control of Aquitaine and shortly thereafter wed Henry Plantaganet, who would become the next king of England.

Angela was a pious young woman who had visions that revealed her purpose in life: to found a group of virgins who would devote their lives to the religious education of young girls (the Ursulines).

Kiyomori was the first Japanese "soldier-dictator" of feudal Japan and had a reputation for ruthlessness.
