Battle of Stirling Bridge

In this battle, William Wallace scored a surprising victory for the Scots against the English over tremendous odds.

In the film Braveheart Wallace is depicted as using spears in this battle, but in reality he used those spears later at Falkirk, where they were effective but in the end did not lead to his victory.
