Saint Columban

Abbot, writer, and missionary Columbanus sparked a revival of spirtuality in seventh-century Europe.

955:

King Eadred

Eadred brought Northumbria permanently under English rule.

1499:

Perkin Warbeck

Pretender to the throne of England during the reign of Henry VII, Warbeck garnered support against the king and attempted to assault Exeter. He was captured and hanged after trying to escape from the Tower of London.
