This Week's Feature
A closer look at the first "Holy Roman Emperor" and what he achieved that made future generations call him great.
Welcome!
I'd like to extend a special welcome to the record number of new subscribers who signed up in the past three weeks. Since I've been offline, our readership has increased more than 25%!
Maybe I should take time away from the site more often.... just kidding ;-)
Announcement
In order to provide more regular updates and continue to add to our resource library of net links, features will be added and the newsletter sent out biweekly instead of every week. Changes will occasionally be made to the site in the off weeks, and the front page will be altered to reflect this; so so don't forget to stop by the site to see what's new.
Medieval Minutia
Bocaccio wrote the first biography of Dante Aligheri and copied out the entire Divine Comedy by hand as a gift for Petrarch.

This week, instead of a poll, I've got a one-question-quiz for you. Do you know the answer? Come to our quizlet page and see the results of the last question and the new quizlet.
Quote of the Knight
- If a man will begin with certainties, he shall end in
doubts; but if he will be content to begin with doubts,
he shall end in certainties.
