Henry Who? |

From
the twelfth to the sixteenth century, eight different men named Henry
wore the crown of England. They may run together in the minds of most
people, but to the true history buff, each Henry had his own
unmistakable personality, as well as a distinct reign characterized
by unique events and individuals.
How well can you tell them apart?
I present for your amusement this quiz about the eight kings of England named Henry. Why Henry? In part because there are more Henrys (Henries?) than any other English king of the Middle Ages, but also because some of the most interesting periods and events in English history took place when a man named Henry was king. Such as:
Three
kings named Henry founded royal dynasties. More than one was
victorious in a famous battle, and two were held captive by their
enemies. One suffered from bouts of insanity; another suffered from
multiple-marriage syndrome (which some might consider the same
thing). Kings Henry behaved like saints, caused the death of saints,
faced uprisings and rebellions, started rebellions, and were just
generally all-around rebellious.
If you think you know your Henry Kings of England, try our quiz! There are 20 questions, and each Henry will be a correct answer at least twice.
