Catherine of Aragon

Catherine was the daugher of Ferdinand of Aragon and Isabella of Castile, and the first wife of Henry VIII of England. Her refusal to go quietly when Henry sought to annul their marriage and the political connections that bolstered her position played a significant role in Henry's break with the Catholic Church.
