Christopher Columbus

Christopher Columbus made a historic voyage in 1492, searching for a westward route to the treasures of the east and instead encountering a new world. While not the first European to make it to the Americas, Columbus was the first to sail directly across the uncharted sea, and the impact of his voyage would radically change the future of Europe and the Americas alike.
