Medieval Rhodes - Greece

The Greek island of Rhodes was home to the Knights of St. John, also known as the Hospitallers, from the early 14th century to the early 16th century. Much of what the Knights constructed still stands, lending a medieval character to the Greek city that tourists can enjoy to this day.

The photos below provide an introductory look at medieval Rhodes, including the fortifications built by the Knights Hospitaller and the palace of their Grand Master.
