More about the Jigsaw Puzzles
Solving Hints
- Click and hold any piece and drag it to where you want to
place it. If two pieces are joined correctly, the piece you're
moving will snap to the other when you let go of it and, if your
computer is sound-capable, you will hear a click.
- All pieces are properly oriented and don't need to be
rotated.
- Have a missing piece? It's probably under the portion of the puzzle already completed. Try clicking the Shuffle button to bring it to the front -- the completed portion(s) should stay intact.
Jigsaw Options
- Time yourself. Click on the clock to pause it; it'll
restart as soon as you move another piece.
- Mix it up. Use the Shuffle button to bring pieces
forward or simply to give yourself a fresh start -- joined pieces
should stay joined.
- Change the number of pieces and their shapes. Click on
the Shapes button to bring up a variety of options, including
piece styles like "circles," "birds" and "crazy," and overall
puzzle shapes like "round" and "CD."
- Let the computer do the work. Don't feel like finishing
the puzzle? Click the Solve button and the program will do it for
you.
- Play offline. Once your choice of puzzle is loaded up, you'll no longer need to be connected to the internet to play. You won't be able to select a different shape or number of pieces, but you can still shuffle, use the timer and let the computer solve it.
