Conflagration: The Peasants' Revolt, Part 1
In our Back-in-Time Survey, more participants wanted to meet the leaders and rebels in the Peasants' Revolt than any other individual or group of the past. So I've done a little research to provide you with an overview of the revolt, its origins, and its consequences.

Poles and Germans Reenact Battle of Grunwald
On July 16th, 1410, a force of more than 24,000 Polish, Russian, Czech, and Tatar troops crushed the 14,000 Teutonic Knights who had set up a hostile enclave inside Polish territory. That battle was replayed Thursday outside Grunwald by modern day reenactors. Organizers hope to repeat the battle every year and attract many more participants by 2010, the 600th anniversary of the medieval conflict. Recent turmoil between Germany and Poland over property lost after World War II appeared to have no effect on the reenactors, many of whom seemed perfectly willing to "fraternize with the enemy."
Medieval Minutia
Medieval Europeans consumed several types of birds that are rarely thought of as food today, including peacocks, swans, cranes, herons, and seagulls.
